The Governor, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard QC, delivered the inaugural "Inspiring Australians" Oration at Deakin Edge.
The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC hosted a reception for the National Judicial Orientation Program.
The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC visited the Anatomy & Pathology Museum at the University of Melbourne. Later, the Governor and Mr Howard hosted a reception to mark the 30th anniversary of the Domestic Violence Resource Centre.
The Governor presided at a meeting of Executive Council. Later, the Governor hosted a reception for Berry Street.

The Governor met with Professor Wickramasinghe, wife of the PM of Sri Lanka and later with Prof. David Howarth of Cambridge University, Mrs Howarth and Dr Matt Collins QC. In the evening, the Governor introduced Deakin University's 2017 Law Oration delivered by The Honourable Ranil Wickremesinghe, PM of Sri Lanka.

The Governor presided at a meeting of Executive Council. The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC received the call of The Honourable Ranil Wickremesinghe, Prime Minister of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and Professor Wickramasinghe. The Governor also received the call of Mr Ross Fitzgerald, Co-Chairman, Australia-India Dialogue and later, HE Dr Ajay Marotrao Gondane, High Commissioner of India. In the evening, the Governor and Mr Howard hosted a reception for the 50th anniversary of Melbourne Youth Orchestra.
The Governor received the call of Mr Mohamed Mohideen, President, Islamic Council of Victoria and members of the executive. Later, the Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC welcomed participants to the Peace and Prosperity Garden. The Governor, received the Call of HE Mr Somasundaram Skandakumar, High Commissioner for Sri Lanka.
